MALÅ MIRA Flex is a modular, custom-built 3D ground-penetrating radar (GPR) array solution designed for integration into specialized systems and applications. Built on the proven MIRA platform – delivering high-quality 3D GPR data for more than two decades – MIRA Flex enables tailored configurations for qualified customers and partners.
With MIRA Flex, Guideline Geo can offer customized MIRA solutions for applications where standard systems such as MIRA Compact or MIRA HDR are not sufficient. The system is designed for customers who require a specific array scan width, typically between 1–4 meters, and who plan to integrate the technology into their own platforms or solutions.

What 's included when you buy a MIRA Flex-system?
MALÅ MIRA Flex Includes:
MIRA Flex is delivered as a set of hardware components for system integration and MIRA Controller software for data collection. These components allow qualified customers and partners to integrate the MIRA system into their own solutions and workflows.
What MIRA Flex Does Not Include:
MIRA Flex is intended for system integration and therefore does not include:
- Enclosure or housing (box)
- Carrier solution
The customer is responsible for designing and manufacturing the enclosure and carrier platform. The enclosure should meet at least IP66 protection standards to ensure suitable durability for field operations.
Integration and Use
MALÅ MIRA Flex is designed to adapt to customer-specific end solutions. Its modular architecture allows integration into a wide range of environments and applications, enabling partners to build specialized systems while maintaining the high data quality and resolution associated with the MIRA platform.

Large Area Mapping
With potential for the highest data-channel density on the market MALÅ MIRA Flex delivers unsurpassed class-leading resolution. Any MALÅ MIRA-system produces data with less noise, at higher speeds, with more functionality using improved mechanical design and modern software.
Swath width between 0.25 and 4 m (1-13 ft)
The MIRA HDR 3D GPR array uses a 500 MHz centre frequency and supports a variety of trig options, including MALÅ Motion and time trig*. The system can collect between 2 and 62 true data channels with up to 4 m swath width, maintaining MALÅ MIRA high data channel density.

MALÅ HDR (High Dynamic Range) GPR
The MALÅ MIRA has been redesigned to take full advantage of the MALÅ HDR technology, giving you the best possible GPR data quality, resolution, bandwidth .
The MALÅ HDR technology produces data with significantly lower noise levels, compared to traditional GPR systems. A lower noise floor gives a wider bandwidth when compared to conventional time-interleaved systems. This removes more of the background interference, giving sharper data with higher contrast, and the ability to see deeper than non-HDR systems.
Software
Software is an essential part of every MALÅ MIRA solution. MIRA Controller and MALÅ Vision Desktop are purpose-built to work seamlessly with MIRA hardware, guiding users from survey planning to final reporting with ease and efficiency.
MALÅ MIRA Controller is the dedicated data acquisition software for MIRA HDR, MIRA Compact, and custom MIRA-based antenna solutions (like the MALÅ MIRA Flex). It provides an intuitive interface for data collection, channel and file management, and real-time guidance using multiple positioning options. Projects are easily transferred to MALÅ Vision Desktop for processing and interpretation.
MALÅ Vision Desktop is a fast, intuitive software for processing, analyzing, and reporting 3D GPR array data from MALÅ MIRA systems. Optimized for large datasets, it offers immediate visual feedback, multiple viewing modes (map, 2D, and 3D), and industry-leading proprietary interpolation.
Running fully offline, the software delivers results in minutes rather than hours. Automated processing, efficient depth-slice generation, and straightforward export to standard industry formats make reporting fast and reliable.

MALÅ MIRA HDR is the standard solution for everyday large-area 3D mapping. With an effective one-pass swath width of 1.4 m, it combines high productivity with excellent mobility. We offer several different carrier solutions.
MALÅ MIRA Compact delivers the high-resolution performance of our HDR range in a significantly smaller, lighter package. Optimized for hand-pushed surveys with a 0.6 m swath, it easily converts to a vehicle-mounted setup using the Tow Hitch Carrier.
And the MALÅ MIRA Flex is the customizable option within the MIRA family, designed for specialized applications, survey requirements, and custom mounting solutions.
GPR and the MIRA Method
Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) is a non-destructive geophysical method that uses radio waves to image the subsurface without excavation. Short electromagnetic pulses are transmitted into the ground, and reflections from different materials are recorded to reveal buried objects and geological layers.
