When: November 6, 10:00am – 2:00pm Eastern US Time
Level: Advanced
This workshop on electrical resistivity and induced polarisation is suitable for people with some knowledge of geophysics who have already undertaken or been involved in projects utilizing, resistivity survey. This course looks to build upon the beginner’s course by starting with a very rapid recap of theory, but focusing on more advanced points of the method and the fundamentals which are key to collecting good data. The session will not only delve deeper into the method of electrical resistivity, but it will further discuss Induced Polarisation, borehole resistivity methods, and Self-Potential. The principles of 1D, 2D, 3D and time-lapse measurements, their advantages and necessary considerations to make will all be covered. The workshop will move from theory to looking at real data and introducing some of the practical aspects of QA (quality assurance) plus a brief look at data processing steps and inversion considerations to ensure production of the best possible final model.
Who is this for: Those with some experience of geophysical methods who have potentially used resistivity but want to consolidate their knowledge and skills and become a more confident, independent user of the method.
Where: All courses offered virtually! Course access link will be provided via email upon payment.
