General news

Thirteen years ago, Jimmy Adcock carried out a geophysical survey at Brancaster Roman Fort (or Branodunum for the Latin enthusiasts) for Time Team using a MALÅ MiniMIRA. Time was tight! And only part of the site was covered. But what a part it was!

Fast-forward to today, and the unfinished business finally got its sequel. Jimmy returned, this time with Mike Langton and a shiny new MALÅ MIRA HDR – the archaeological equivalent of swapping a bicycle for a sports car.

We can’t show the results just yet – sorry, no data today – but let’s just say… they’ll be worth the wait!

Keep an eye on Time Team’s YouTube channel for a special episode in the New Year: TimeTeamOfficial. And if you can’t wait that long, the “Back to Brancaster’s Roman Fort” podcast, recorded on site, is already available: Back to Brancaster’s Roman fort

History never quite stays buried, does it?
