The new .rd8 data format is now available for MALÅ MIRA HDR multi-channel array systems (MIRA HDR firmware v.27).
This release also includes general improvements and bug fixes as well as an improved max survey speed calculation.
The new .rd8 format is an alternative to the older .rd3 and .rd7 formats. Compared to the .rd7 format, file sizes are reduced by approximately 50% while still retaining 99.98% of the data quality. This results in smaller files and enables faster data acquisition with your MIRA HDR array system (up to 40 % faster maximum survey speeds). It also leads to shorter processing times in MALÅ Vision Desktop due to the reduced file size.
The new .rd8 format is now available for these MALÅ GPR systems:
- MIRA HDR
- MIRA Compact
- MIRA Flex
Customers working in post processing software yet to support the new .rd8 format are welcome to use the .rd8 to .rd7 converter available in the export section of the MIRA Controller data acquisition software.
The support for the new .rd8 format is already fully implemented in MALÅ Vision Desktop.
